レッスン１６９、１７０はとても深いレッスンです。
ただ、言葉を読むだけだと、自我が何らかの形で邪魔をしてしまうこともあるでしょう。
そして自我は、レッスンの深さを受け取らないように様々なあの手この手で思考に介入してきたりもするかもしれません。
しかし、その自我に力を与えず、ただレッスンが伝えることを淡々と練習していくと受け取れる事があります。
長めの何分かの練習、そして１日を通しての短めの頻度の多い練習をどのように、そしてどれくらい自分に与えるかは私たち自身に委ねられています。

仕事場や家庭や友人関係などで、様々なリアルレッスンを体験される、もしくは体験されている方もいるでしょう。
そしてまたちょっと、その関係性から離れたりすれば、相手が変わってくれたら、自分の心は平安なのにと思う事もあるかもしれません。
しかし、ここまで奇跡のコースを学んできた私たちは、自分で自分を騙し続けることはできず、自我が思わせる事で自分を正当化し、相手や環境を責める事は自己欺瞞であることを知っています。
目の前のその人や、今いるその環境に対する不平不満や怒りや攻撃性は、本質的には「自分自身への攻撃」でしかなく、人を変えても環境を変えても、何も変わらない事を学んできました。
レッスン１６９や１７０は、何度も練習する価値のあるレッスンです。
明日から３日間は、またテキストをお送りさせていただきますが、テキストはレッスンに対する恩寵としてシンクロを与え続けてくれると思います。

リアルレッスンが来ていても、レッスンを学びに変えようとさえせず、無意識で自我を正当化し続けるということもさりげなくやったりします。
そこで、自我の声に従わず、レッスンに取っ組み合おうとするかしないか、それで全てが決まります。

Lesson 170
《「神」の中に残酷性はなく、私の中にもまったくありません。》There is no cruelty in God and none in me.
傷つけようとする意図を持たずに攻撃する人はいません。
No one attacks without intent to hurt.
これには例外はありえません。
This can have no exception.
自己防御のために攻撃していると考える時、あなた（の自我）は残酷であることが自分を守ることであり、残酷性のゆえに自分は安全であると言っているのです。
When you think that you attack in self-defense, you mean that to be cruel is protection; you are safe because of cruelty.
あなた（の自我）は他の人を傷つけることが自分に自由をもたらしてくれると信じていると言っているのです。
You mean that you believe to hurt another brings you freedom.
そして、攻撃することはあなたが置かれている状態を、それよりもよい何か、より安全で、危険な侵入や怖れから安全ななにかと交換することであると言っているのです。
And you mean that to attack is to exchange the state in which you are for something better, safer, more secure from dangerous invasion and from fear.
怖れから身を守ることと攻撃することが同じだという考え方は、まったく狂っています！
How thoroughly insane is the idea that to defend from fear is to attack!
というのは、ここで怖れが生まれ、怖れを成長させ、膨張させ、激怒させるために血を飲ませるのです。
For here is fear begot and fed with blood, to make it grow and swell and rage.
このようにして、怖れから脱出するのではなく、怖れが守られます。
And thus is fear protected, not escaped.

Today we learn a lesson which can save you more delay and needless misery than you can possibly imagine.

It seems to be the enemy without that you attack.

For love now has an "enemy," an opposite; and fear, the alien, now needs your defense against the threat of what you really are.

If you consider carefully the means by which your fancied self-defense proceeds on its imagined way, you will perceive the premises on which the idea stands.

First, it is obvious ideas must leave their source, for it is you who make attack, and must have first conceived of it.

Another can be found.

Yet do not think that fear is the escape from fear.

Let us remember what the text has stressed about the obstacles to peace.

Love has not confused its attributes with those of fear.

Lesson 169
《恩寵によって私は生きます。恩寵によって私は解放されます。》
By grace I live. By grace I am released.
恩寵は「神の愛」の一側面であり、統合された真実の中において支配的な状態と最も似ているものです。
Grace is an aspect of the Love of God which is most like the state prevailing in the unity of truth.
それはこの世界の最も高遠な熱望です。というのは、それはこの世界を完全に超越したところへと導くからです。
It is the world's most lofty aspiration, for it leads beyond the world entirely.
それは学びを通過したものであり、それでいて、学びの目標です。というのは、マインドが自らを真の受容のために準備を整えるまでは恩寵がやってくることはできないからです。
It is past learning, yet the goal of learning, for grace cannot come until the mind prepares itself for true acceptance.

Grace becomes inevitable instantly in those who have prepared a table where it can be gently laid and willingly received; an altar clean and holy for the gift.

Grace is acceptance of the Love of God within a world of seeming hate and fear.

Grace is not learned.

The final step must go beyond all learning.

Grace is not the goal this course aspires to attain.

Yet we prepare for grace in that an open mind can hear the Call to waken.

It is not shut tight against God's Voice.

It has become aware that there are things it does not know, and thus is ready to accept a state completely different from experience with which it is familiarly at home.

We have perhaps appeared to contradict our statement that the revelation of the Father and the Son as One has been already set.

There are no lips to speak them, and no part of mind sufficiently distinct to feel that it is now aware of something not itself.

We cannot speak nor write nor even think of this at all.

It comes to every mind when total recognition that its will is God's has been completely given and received completely.

The Son of God has merely disappeared into his Father, as his Father has in him.

The world has never been at all.

This is beyond experience we try to hasten.

Yet forgiveness, taught and learned, brings with it the experiences which bear witness that the time the mind itself determined to abandon all but this is now at hand.

We do not hasten it, in that what you will offer was concealed from Him Who teaches what forgiveness means.

He recognized all that time holds, and gave it to all minds that each one might determine, from a point where time was ended, when it is released to revelation and eternity.

We have repeated several times before that you but make a journey that is done.

When revelation of your oneness comes, it will be known and fully understood.

Now we have work to do, for those in time can speak of things beyond, and listen to words which explain what is to come is past already.

Yet what meaning can the words convey to those who count the hours still, and rise and work and go to sleep by them?

Suffice it, then, that you have work to do to play your part.

The ending must remain obscure to you until your part is done.

It does not matter.

Forgiveness is the central theme that runs throughout salvation, holding all its parts in meaningful relationships, the course it runs directed and its outcome sure.

And now we ask for grace, the final gift salvation can bestow.

Be grateful to return, as you were glad to go an instant, and accept the gifts that grace provided you.

今日のレッスンは大きくたたけば大きく響き、小さくたたけば小さく響く、そしてたたかなければうんともすんともいわない鐘のようなものかもしれません。
ただ、自我から今日のレッスンメールを読めば、自我は文章を目にしながらも無視しようとしたり、自分からはとても遠いリアリティーのないきれいごとの話のように見えたり、もしくはちょっとした反感や皮肉屋的な感情を自我が反応させようとする場合もあるかもしれません。
神の愛とか言われても、自我は自分の目先の仕事や家庭や人間関係や人生の状況や経済的問題、あるいは自分自身の内的問題でそれどころではない、こんな状況なこんな自分で神の愛などどう感じろと、なんて思わせるのも自我は得意です。
レッスン１６０番台は、さらに「自我が自分にあたかもリアリティーがあると思わせる感情や感覚を脇を一旦おいて」その自我に騙されないで、レッスンが伝えるトレーニングをただ淡々とやってみようとするという事が必要かもしれません。
レッスン２２０まではひたすら「自我の解体」というプロセス、トレーニングです。
奇跡のコースのレッスンを半年以上やってきた、だから何か特殊な体験ややってきた成果みたいなものが欲しい、あるいは半年もやってるのにそれらがまだない、そして今日のレッスンの神の愛など言われても全くもってようわからん、など自我は様々な形で抵抗します。

Lesson 168
《「あなた」の恩寵は私に与えられています。私は今、それを私のものであると宣言します。》
Your grace is given me. I claim it now.
「神」は私たちに語りかけます。
God speaks to us.
私たちは「神」に語りかけないようにするべきでしょうか。
Shall we not speak to Him?
「神」は遠くに在るのではありません。
He is not distant.
「神」は私たちから隠れようとはしていません。
He makes no attempt to hide from us.
私たちが「神」から離れようとして、欺瞞のために苦しみます。
We try to hide from Him, and suffer from deception.
「神」は完全に接近可能であり続けています。
He remains entirely accessible.
「神」は「自分の子」を愛しています。
He loves His Son.
これ以外に確実性は存在しませんが、これで十分です。
There is no certainty but this, yet this suffices.
「神」は「自分の子」を永遠に愛するでしょう。
He will love His Son forever.
「神の子」のマインドが眠ったままの状態であり続けても、「神」はその人を愛しています。
When his mind remains asleep, He loves him still.

レッスン１６０以降、特に、レッスンの深さが染み込んで、自分の中のどこかが揺さぶられるような感覚を味わっている方もいらっしゃると思います。
一方で、書いてあることを自分なりのトレーニング回数や時間を設定してやっているのだけども、レッスンの内容がよくわからないとか、漠然としてしまっている方もいらっしゃると思います。
また、ただレッスンメールを読んで終わりのようになってしまっていて、レッスンがただ惰性になってしまったり、「このレッスンを続けていて果たして自分に意味があるのだろうか」とレッスンに向かい合うやる気やモチベーションが見つけれなくなっている方もいらっしゃるかと思います。
今、どんな状態であれ、その状態にこそ、まさしく、自我を越えていくチャンスがあると、私は思います。
明日以降ですが、５・６日間にわたり、恐縮ですがレッスンメールをお休みさせていただき、テキストメールをお送りさせていただきます。

Lesson 167
《一つの生命（いのち）があり、それを私は「神」と共有します。》
There is one life, and that I share with God.
異なった種類の生命（いのち）というものはありません。 というのは、生命は真実に似ているからです。
There are not different kinds of life, for life is like the truth.
生命には程度はありません。
It does not have degrees.
生命は一つの状態であり、その状態の中で「神」が創造されたものはすべて共有します。
It is the one condition in which all that God created share.
すべての「神の思い」と同じように、それには正反対のものはありません。
Like all His Thoughts, it has no opposite.
死は存在しません。 なぜなら、「神」が創造したものは「神」の生命を共有するからです。
There is no death because what God created shares His life.
死は存在しません。 なぜなら、「神」と正反対のものは存在しないからです。
There is no death because an opposite to God does not exist.
死は存在しません。 なぜなら、「父と子」は一つだからです。
There is no death because the Father and the Son are One.
この世界には生命と正反対の状態があるように見えます。
In this world, there appears to be a state that is life's opposite.
あなたはそれを死と呼びます。
You call it death.
しかしながら、死（＝生きてはいない）という考えは数多くの形をとることを私たちは学びました。
Yet we have learned that the idea of death takes many forms.
それは、「最高に幸せ」という感情ではない感情のすべての底に横たわる一つの考えです。
It is the one idea which underlies all feelings that are not supremely happy.
それは、あなたが「完璧な喜び」ではないあらゆる種類の反応をそれに対して与える警告です。
It is the alarm to which you give response of any kind that is not perfect joy.
すべての悲しみ、喪失、焦慮、苦しみ、苦痛、疲労困憊から来る小さなため息、わずかな不快感、ちょっとした渋面、こういったもののすべてが死（＝生きていない）というものを承認しています。
All sorrow, loss, anxiety and suffering and pain, even a little sigh of weariness, a slight discomfort or the merest frown, acknowledge death.

And thus deny you live.
死は肉体に関するものだとあなたは思っています。
You think that death is of the body.
しかし、死は一つの（生きてはいないという事が存在しうるという）「考え」であり、肉体的なものとして見られているものとは無関係です。
Yet it is but an idea, irrelevant to what is seen as physical.
思いはマインドの中にあります。
A thought is in the mind.
したがって、思いはマインドの指示に応じて適用することができます。
It can be then applied as mind directs it.

But its origin is where it must be changed, if change occurs.

Ideas leave not their source.

死は考えが自らの源を離れることができ、その源にはない資質を帯びることができ、自らの源とは異なったものになり、種類においても距離においても時間においても形においても自らの源から離れることができるという固定観念です。
It is the fixed belief ideas can leave their source, and take on qualities the source does not contain, becoming different from their own origin, apart from it in kind as well as distance, time and form.
死が生命（いのち）から来ることはできません。
Death cannot come from life.
考えはその源と一体であり続けます。
Ideas remain united to their source.

They can extend all that their source contains.

In that, they can go far beyond themselves.

As they are made, so will their making be.

It cannot change what is its waking state.

What is alien to the mind does not exist, because it has no source.

For mind creates all things that are, and cannot give them attributes it lacks, nor change its own eternal, mindful state.

Yet mind is mind, awake or sleeping.

Forever unopposed by opposites of any kind, the Thoughts of God remain forever changeless, with the power to extend forever changelessly, but yet within themselves, for they are everywhere.

What seems to be the opposite of life is merely sleeping.
マインドが実際にはそうでないものになる選択をし、それが持っていない異質な力を持っているふりをし、それが入ることのできない異質な状況ないしはその「源」の内部にはない誤った状況にいるふりをする時、マインドはしばらくの間眠りについているだけのように見えます。
When the mind elects to be what it is not, and to assume an alien power which it does not have, a foreign state it cannot enter, or a false condition not within its Source, it merely seems to go to sleep a while.

Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is?

We will not ask for death in any form today.

Nor will we let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant where the Thought of life eternal has been set by God Himself.

His holy home we strive to keep today as He established it, and wills it be forever and forever.

As we were, so are we now and will forever be.

A sleeping mind must waken, as it sees its own perfection mirroring the Lord of life so perfectly it fades into what is reflected there.

It becomes the thing reflected, and the light which makes reflection possible.

There is one life, and that I share with God.
異なった種類の生命（いのち）というものはありません。 というのは、生命は真実に似ているからです。
There are not different kinds of life, for life is like the truth.
生命には程度はありません。
It does not have degrees.
生命は一つの状態であり、その状態の中で「神」が創造されたものはすべて共有します。
It is the one condition in which all that God created share.

Like all His Thoughts, it has no opposite.

There is no death because what God created shares His life.

《 私は「神」の贈り物を委ねられています。》
I am entrusted with the gifts of God.
すべてのものがあなたに与えられています。
All things are given you.
あなたに対する「神」の信頼は無制限です。
God's trust in you is limitless.
「神」は「自分の子」を知っています。
He knows His Son.
「神」はいかなる例外もなく、あなたの幸せに貢献することができるものであれば何であれ抑制することなく与えます。
He gives without exception, holding nothing back that can contribute to your happiness.
しかしながら、あなたの意志が「神の意志」と一つでなければ、「神」の贈り物が受け取られることはありません。
And yet, unless your will is one with His, His gifts are not received.
しかし、「神の意志」以外に別な意志があるとあなたに考えさせるものは何でしょうか。
But what would make you think there is another will than His?
この世界の成り立ちの根底にある逆説がここにあります。
Here is the paradox that underlies the making of the world.
この世界は「神の意志」によるものではありません。したがって、非実在です。
This world is not the Will of God, and so it is not real.
しかしながら、この世界が実在すると考える者たちは別な意志があると信じているに違いありません。そして、その意志は「神」が意図する結果とは正反対の結果を導くものだと信じているに違いありません。
Yet those who think it real must still believe there is another will, and one that leads to opposite effects from those He wills.
それはまったく不可能なことです。しかし、この世界を見て、それが確実なものであり、しっかりと存在するものであり、信頼に値する真実のものであると判断するマインドのすべては、二人の創造主を信じているということになります。あるいは、一人の創造主、すなわち、自分自身（の自我）だけを信じているということになります。
Impossible indeed; but every mind that looks upon the world and judges it as certain, solid, trustworthy and true believes in two creators; or in one, himself alone.

But never in one God.
そのような（自我の）奇妙な信念を持っている人にとっては「神」の贈り物は受け容れがたいものです。
The gifts of God are not acceptable to anyone who holds such strange beliefs.
「神」の贈り物を受け容れることは、たとえそれらの贈り物がどんなに明瞭なものになったとしても、それらを自分自身のものとして宣言するようにどれほどの緊急性をもって促されようとも、自分自身を裏切ることを強制されていると信じるに違いありません。
He must believe that to accept God's gifts, however evident they may become, however urgently he may be called to claim them as his own, is to be pressed to treachery against himself.
その人はそれらの贈り物の存在を否定し、真実に反駁し、自分が作った世界を保つために苦しまなければなりません。
He must deny their presence, contradict the truth, and suffer to preserve the world he made.
ここにその人が知っていると思っている唯一の家があります。
Here is the only home he thinks he knows.
ここにその人が見つけることができると信じている唯一の安全があります。
Here is the only safety he believes that he can find.
その人が作った（自我の）世界がなければ、その人は追放された者であり、ホームレスであり、怖れに満ちています。
Without the world he made is he an outcast; homeless and afraid.
その人が実際に恐れていてホームレスであるのはこの（自我の）世界においてであることにその人は気づいていません。追放された者として家を遠く離れてさまよい、あまりにも家から離れているために、自分がどこからやってきたのか、どこに行こうとしているのか、自分が誰であるかさえ分からないのです。
He does not realize that it is here he is afraid indeed, and homeless, too; an outcast wandering so far from home, so long away, he does not realize he has forgotten where he came from, where he goes, and even who he really is.
しかし、その人の孤独で意味のない放浪において、「神」の贈り物はその人と一緒についていきますが、その人はまったくそれを知りません。
Yet in his lonely, senseless wanderings, God's gifts go with him, all unknown to him.
その人にはそれらのものを失うことはできません。
He cannot lose them.
しかし、その人は自分に与えられているものを見ようとはしません。
But he will not look at what is given him.
その人はいたるところで自分の周囲に見るむなしさを自覚しながら放浪を続け、行き先がないままに前進しその人のささやかな運命がただ縮んでいくのを知覚します。
He wanders on, aware of the futility he sees about him everywhere, perceiving how his little lot but dwindles, as he goes ahead to nowhere.
それでもなお、「神」が一緒にいるにもかかわらず一人で、そして、その人の宝物はあまりにも素晴らしいものであるために、この世界が持っているすべてのものもその人の宝物の偉大さの前にあっては何の価値もないにもかかわらず、その人は悲惨さと貧しさの中で放浪を続けるのです。
Still he wanders on in misery and poverty, alone though God is with him, and a treasure his so great that everything the world contains is valueless before its magnitude.
その人は気の毒な人に見えます。憔悴し、疲れ果て、擦り切れた衣服をまとい、足は岩ばかりの道を歩いているために少し血が出ています。
He seems a sorry figure; weary, worn, in threadbare clothing, and with feet that bleed a little from the rocky road he walks.
その人に帰属意識を持たない人は一人としていません。というのは、ここに来る人の誰もがその人が歩いている道を探求した経験があり、その人が今感じているのと同じ敗北感と絶望を感じたことがあるからです。
No one but has identified with him, for everyone who comes here has pursued the path he follows, and has felt defeat and hopelessness as he is feeling them.

Yet is he really tragic, when you see that he is following the way he chose, and need but realize Who walks with him and open up his treasures to be free?
これはあなたが選んだ自己であり、実在の代替物としてあなたが作った（自我という）自己です。
This is your chosen self, the one you made as a replacement for reality.
これは、あらゆる理性に逆らって、あらゆる証拠にもかかわらず、これはあなたではないということを示すための証拠を持ったすべての証人に逆らって、あなたが凶暴に防御する（自我という）「自己」です。
This is the self you savagely defend against all reason, every evidence, and all the witnesses with proof to show this is not you.

I am entrusted with the gifts of God.

All things are given you.

God's trust in you is limitless.

He knows His Son.

He gives without exception, holding nothing back that can contribute to your happiness.

Here is the paradox that underlies the making of the world.

This world is not the Will of God, and so it is not real.

Yet those who think it real must still believe there is another will, and one that leads to opposite effects from those He wills.

《私のマインドに「神の思い」を否定させないでください。》
Let not my mind deny the Thought of God.
この世界が実在しているように見せるのは、この世界を超越して横たわる真実をあなた自身が否定することに他なりません。
What makes this world seem real except your own denial of the truth that lies beyond?
あなたの「父」があなたのために意図している完璧な幸せと永遠の生命をおぼろげなものにしているのは、悲惨と死についてのあなたの思い以外の何ものでもありません。
What but your thoughts of misery and death obscure the perfect happiness and the eternal life your Father wills for you?

Now is all doubting past, the journey's end made certain, and salvation given you.

Now are we one with Him Who is our Source.
今を除いていかなる時に真実を認識することができるでしょうか。
What time but now can truth be recognized?
現在だけが存在する唯一の時です。
The present is the only time there is.

And so today, this instant, now, we come to look upon what is forever there; not in our sight, but in the eyes of Christ.

The valuable and valueless are both perceived and recognized for what they are.

Is not this purpose worthy to be yours?

Is not Christ's vision worthy to be sought above the world's unsatisfying goals?

Let not today slip by without the gifts it holds for you receiving your consent and your acceptance.

We can change the world, if you acknowledge them.

You may not see the value your acceptance gives the world.

Lesson 163
《死は存在しません。「神の子」は自由です。》
There is no death. The Son of God is free.
死は数多くの形をとりますが、多くの場合、認識されることはありません。
Death is a thought that takes on many forms, often unrecognized.
死は、悲しみ、怖れ、心配、あるいは、疑いとして現れるかもしれません。怒り、信仰心の欠如、信頼の欠如として現れるかもしれません。肉体に対する心配、羨望、あなたが今そうでないものになりたいという願望があなたを誘惑するために取るあらゆる形で現れるかもしれません。
It may appear as sadness, fear, anxiety or doubt; as anger, faithlessness and lack of trust; concern for bodies, envy, and all forms in which the wish to be as you are not may come to tempt you.

All such thoughts are but reflections of the worshipping of death as savior and as giver of release.

Embodiment of fear, the host of sin, god of the guilty and the lord of all illusions and deceptions, does the thought of death seem mighty.

For it seems to hold all living things within its withered hand; all hopes and wishes in its blighting grasp; all goals perceived but in its sightless eyes.

The frail, the helpless and the sick bow down before its image, thinking it alone is real, inevitable, worthy of their trust.

But death is counted on.

For it will come with certain footsteps when the time has come for its arrival.

Would you bow down to idols such as this?

Here is the strength and might of God Himself perceived within an idol made of dust.

Here is the opposite of God proclaimed as lord of all creation, stronger than God's Will for life, the endlessness of love and Heaven's perfect, changeless constancy.

Here is the Will of Father and of Son defeated finally, and laid to rest beneath the headstone death has placed upon the body of the holy Son of God.

Unholy in defeat, he has become what death would have him be. His epitaph, which death itself has written, gives no name to him, for he has passed to dust.

It is impossible to worship death in any form, and still select a few you would not cherish and would yet avoid, while still believing in the rest.

Either all things die, or else they live and cannot die.

No compromise is possible.

The idea of the death of God is so preposterous that even the insane have difficulty in believing it.

For it implies that God was once alive and somehow perished; killed, apparently, by those who did not want Him to survive.

Their stronger will could triumph over His, and so eternal life gave way to death.

And with the Father died the Son as well.

Death's worshippers may be afraid.

And yet, can thoughts like these be fearful?

If they saw that it is only this which they believe, they would be instantly released.

And you will show them this today.

There is no death, and we renounce it now in every form, for their salvation and our own as well.

Lesson 162
《私は「神」が創造されたままの私です。》
I am as God created me.
この一つの思いがマインドの中にしっかりと保持されれば、この世界を救うことになるでしょう。
This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world.
学びのもう一つの段階に到達した時、私たちは時々この言葉《私は「神」が創造されたままの私です。》を繰り返します。
From time to time we will repeat it, as we reach another stage in learning.
それはあなたが前進していくにつれてずっと多くのことを意味するようになります。
It will mean far more to you as you advance.
この言葉《私は「神」が創造されたままの私です》は神聖です。というのは、この言葉はあなたが作った世界に対する答えとして「神」が与えてくれた言葉だからです。
These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made.

Here creation is proclaimed, and honored as it is.

There is no dream these words will not dispel; no thought of sin and no illusion which the dream contains that will not fade away before their might.

They are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world.

The dead awake in answer to its call.

And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death.

Give me your blessing, holy Son of God.

Today we practice differently, and take a stand against our anger, that our fears may disappear and offer room to love.

Here is salvation in the simple words in which we practice with today's idea.

Give me your blessing, holy Son of God.

Today we practice differently, and take a stand against our anger, that our fears may disappear and offer room to love.
